Greetings Everyone,

I'm thrilled to be joining this vibrant community, and while I'm not entirely certain if this is the ideal spot for my introduction, I couldn't resist diving right in.

Allow me to introduce myself—I'm Mike, your go-to fractional CFO and Portfolio Finance Director. My journey involves partnering with clients, typically boasting EBITDA figures north of £250k, to navigate the exhilarating terrains of growth, recovery, or even the elusive exit phase.

My background tells a story of finance leadership. I've worn the hat of a Finance Director at a multinational PLC, and more recently, I've taken on the role of a partner at a prestigious international M&A firm. However, I've embarked on a new mission—one that transcends the confines of mere transactions.

My passion now lies in nurturing businesses for the long haul, bringing a wealth of value to their tables. It's about sculpting success stories that endure.

I'm eager to immerse myself in this forum, ready to be a guiding light for fellow entrepreneurs on their remarkable journeys. So, don't hesitate to throw your questions and ideas my way. Together, we'll forge a path to excellence.

Cheers to new beginnings!

Mike

Hi @Mike-ascendcfo and welcome to UKBF.

Had to Google "fractional CFO and Portfolio Finance Director" as I had no idea what they were. I'm unlikely ever to be a client of yours as I'm a fractional income earner. About the only thing I sculpture is the pile of wood next to the wood burner (to stop it falling over).

Welcome Mike - there are some tentative overlaps in our areas of expertise

If I can throw one piece of advice (not unrelated to @fisicx ) it is to learn to speak the language of business owners, not of big Corp and PR agencies. You don't have to get 'down with the kids', but just a bit closer.
