Integrating a payment gateway with WooCommerce

Which gateways?

For PP, it is probably as simple as entering your PP account details!

A quick search will find thousands of guides and videos on how to do this.

Here is the list of payment gateways available in WooCommerce:

  • PayPal
  • Stripe
  • Square
  • Amazon Pay
  • Authorize.Net
  • Sofort Uberweisung
  • 2Checkout
  • Alipay.
To enable any of them, download the corresponding payment extension and install it at your website.

There's also a large number of 3rd party payment modules not included in the above list that you could use, some of which will be free.

In order to perform a successful payment gateway integration, you must have a bank account attached to the gateway. Commonly known as a “merchant account,” this bank account must be authorized to accept funds (a regular bank account may not work for this). Soon after the merchant account is approved, you’ll need to find the right payment gateway to use.

Just to clarify on the above, a merchant account is not a bank account in the traditional sense as you cannot access funds from it. A merchant account is associated with a Payment Gateway for authorisation and settlement of online transactions. The transactions will be settled into an actual bank account (usually a business bank account) for the merchant.

Paypal is the easiest, you will of course need a paypal account.
To OP is a spammer from India. What should have happened is their mate joins UKBF and posts an answer with a linkdrop to their 'expert' site. But they got caught out.
