Hi mate if you PM me I have a contact who owns a large bike shop who gets bikes from all over and I know he also gets a lot of cheap things offered as well.
I could pass you his details?

Hi there - we may well be able to help. Please send me a PM with further details of your transport requirements. e.g. number/type of bikes you want picked up, location in Italy, destination in UK etc.

Best regards,
Glen

I once bought a bike from italy, could not get used to it as it was left hand drive :D

On topic we recently purchased a marvellous second hand Ducati Multistrada thanks to a dealer (www.sourcingitaly.com) who found it on a local newspaper, I can guarantee it drives beautifully and both throttle and brake are operated with the right hand! (just a bit cold to do that right nowo_O)

We bought a house off a guy who used to drive Italian bikes. He had a Laverda triple that started on its own every time it rained. He had to leave it in neutral when it was parked.

Purely out of interest what sort of % saving did you get from buying in that way?

Well difficult to say we have gone through quite a lot of classified websites ourselves and yes savings can be made, in my case I think it was quite a good deal considering its condition (it’s a bit less than 18 months old), taking into account all the accessories it has I must’ve saved around 20-25% (including transport which after a few complications we decided to use a local van man who was coming to England anyway). One thing to pay attention in my view is “when” as exchange rate adversity can easily eat up most of your potential savings.

I had to google what a Laverda Triple looks like, wow, colourful.. I hope for his sake he was from Southern Italy, a bit less rainy there :D
