Hi,
I know that it has been a while - but have been very busy with work. Still need to get this customs / duty / VAT issue sorted before I begin importing. I have not imported anything for business use before. So here's the situation - I get sent a package from abroad - the commodity code is
4909000000
It comes under other products of the printing industry. The goods are sent to my home address. I have paid approx £100 for the goods and deciding to sell them for about £200 (for example). When do I notify HMRC and pay for the duty / customs / VAT? How do I let them know that I have received goods from abroad? Also how can I prove that the value of it is £100?
Thanks for all you help.
