Hey all,
We're a UK based family run business who currently have a new website in development and we need help to find a suitable shipping extension for our needs with an online shop. We have quite complex needs I guess so I will try an explain in as little words as possible what we need.
We have 300+ products, all of varying sizes and weights. We need an extension which has a dimensional boxing feature built in or can be added. We would put in our custom box sizes, weight restrictions etc so the shipping extension will use the products in the shopping cart, pack them in to the appropriate box/number of boxes based on the product weights and dimensions.
We have been working with WebShopApps with the idea of using their new extension - ShipperHQ. In most parts this extension is suitable, however when inputting custom courier/carrier rates it asks for a min/max quantity, this quantity we assumed was boxes, it isn't, it's quantity of products. This has proved to be a huge stumbling block as our rates are based on number of boxes.
An example of this would be our 1 box rate shipped to an address in the UK, see below.
1 Box (max weight 30kg) costs £8.50
this box can contain any number of products as long as they fit in the box and don't go over the weight.
It's worth mentioning we are have hired a team of web developers who are building our site so we're not looking for someone to do this.
I would really really appreciate any advice on this matter, whether you can point us in the right direction or you do in fact work for and support a Magento Shipping Extension.
