Dear All,

We are Colette Green, a new handbag brand launched late last year and we are selling only online through our own website and other marketplace channels ( Amazon and Ebay ). We stock our product locally in UK warehouse and open for both online retail selling and bulk wholesale opportunities. Any suggestions/thoughts regarding various ways to generate effective B2B leads will be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Waj

Be careful you have enough margin on Amazon and Ebay as they compete onprice alone and your wholesalers will squeeze you. I would follow one of the most succesful companies Cambridge Satchel. Get your product reviewed in the top magazines by giving them a sample and your phone should ring like heres. She was the inspiration for the first Google Adwords tv ads (as far as I know). I was amazed when I saw her products in the local shopping centre! Oh I did Google you but you are swamped as a brand as you are a character in the video game Half-Life apparently. That will make it hard to SEO! I did find you though.

Phoning up and making arrangements to go see potential clients face to face. Take samples with you. Trade shows and as mentioned above, get your products into places to be reviewed.

I completely agree with this advice, from past experience the best way to generate B2B leads is by attending trade shows and by speaking directly with the people you are looking to tartget. It may also be wise to have a contact form of some description on your website that allows companies who would be interested in distributing your products a dedicated means of contacting you.

Set up a page on your website along the lines of 'Become a distributor'. On that page you will have information on how distribution with yourselves would work along with the contact form. You may be suprised at the amount of enquiries and ultimately leads that you get.

Internet is a strange place and agree with arBemo on the Half-Life but searching in google with "Colette Green handbags" should bring us the first choice. Really appreciate the suggestions we are receiving from your guys.

I also found you in Google but 'Colette Green handbags' is a very specific term so you will 100% be at the top. What aRBemo is saying about you operating in a swamped marketplace is very true. If someone is searching for handbags in Google and they are not aware of your company then they wont be able to find you as they wont be searching for 'Colette Green handbags'. They will more than likely be searching for things like 'high quality leather handbags' or 'real leather handbags'. It may be worth looking at optimising your website for search terms such as these. I dont know if SEO is a big priority for you at the moment but I have a lot of experience in this field so can help if you need more advice going forward.
