What specifically do you want to help people with - moving their stuff into storage? Helping them move?

What gave you the idea?

Do you have any idea of the level of demand for a service like this?

The best advice I can give you is to know what you are buying.

Get a copy of the Millers guide for starters.

Its a very competetive business, you need to do lots of advertising.

As far as I am aware you do not need any licences.

You may need a waste carriers licence if you intend to do a total clearance. As there can be a lot of rubbish to get rid of.

If you are just picking the best bits then you will be ok.

The idea is to clear peoples houses - when people have died , emigrating , need a change etc

we would either pay them for the items or if there is mainly rubbish they would pay us or get it cleared for free.

The idea came as we are quite often asked if its a service we offer :) so we thought why not give it a go
