ID1 Form (HM Land Registry) – Where can it be verified in the UK?

Hi all, I’m looking for advice on completing an HM Land Registry ID1 form. I need my identity verified by a solicitor, conveyancer, barrister, or other authorised person, but I’m not currently using a conveyancer for the transaction.

Can anyone recommend the easiest way to get an ID1 form verified in the UK, typical costs, and whether most high street solicitors offer this service? Also, do many firms do this as a standalone service or only if they’re handling the conveyancing?

Any recent experiences would be really appreciated.

What are the other "authorised persons"? Is there a list?

I've used teachers and religious minsters for things like passports and bank accounts in the past. Doctors are another but the days of having a regular Dr, who actually knows you, are long gone.

I think you're getting the ID1 process confused with swearing an affidavit / statutory declaration, for which there is a fee fixed by statute. There's no statutory fee for completing an ID1, and the solicitor is free to charge whatever they want. Most local solicitors would charge £50 - £100 + VAT.
