Hi

I am soon going to be opening my wedding dress boutique selling ex sample designer dresses at discounted prices.

I need to crack on with loads of things but keep getting the wobbles about the name I am considering:

Principessa Bridal Boutique

Although the dresses are cheaper than normal I still want to give the girls the princess experience

I like the name myself but would appreciate some opinions or further suggestions please

Thanks a million

Hi Ruth,

Is the name Princess Bridal Boutique already taken?

I don't know if it's just me but I can't get Principessa to roll of the tongue too well. Majestic?

Regards
Matt

not the easiest of names to say.. maybe just use principessa...

when building a brand youve got to think about, will people remember the name?

how easy is it to spell?

will it be easily searchable? what comes up if i search it now?
what kind of image does the name portray and do you want it to portray to a potential customer / client?

How relevant is it to what i do? and does it limit me to what im doing currently or are there opportunities to expand the brand direction without changing the name.

Hi

over 35 years in business the name is the last thing to worry about

When I started out at the age of 13 cleaning windows one man said to me when I made my first advert why did you place your company name in large bold print right across the top I said so every one can see my name, its not about that he said its about what you offer your services the name can be at the bottom

So its not all about whats in the name

Good luck my friend

Hi Ruth,

I agree with the posts above about the name being to hard for spelling purposes...

You need a name that is easily to remember and that you can build the brand around for example Pepsi, Sony etc etc

The idea of "princess" is good though, maybe keep it basic: Bridal Princess Co?

I'd just go to lcn.com and search for available domain names.

Personally I'd avoid anything like that unless I was prepared to take the inevitable jokes about the film! ;)

Being brutally honest I really don't like it at all - it's hard to say and would, I think, be difficult to remember.
