HELP IT support for small business required

Hi everyone
I am constantly coming up against IT issues with my laptop and its time consuming and is interfering with me running my business and getting things done. Can anyone advise an IT company that I can trust to log in and rectify my issues? how do other small business owners deal with this? I am fed up asking friends and family and trying to resolve various issues or setting up things the way I want them myself, which can become incredibly time-consuming, what should I be expecting to pay?

My recommendation would be to look for a local IT support company, the reason being that if in the future they need to come out, better they are local. In most cases, they will charge you a fixed monthly amount. I would suggest asking around your local area for recommendations or google it and then ask them to provide references. I would also suggest that any contract you enter into is relatively short term / has a quick exit clause so if they don't provide the service you expect, you can leave. Hope that helps.

@Mercedes Mechanic - I use a laptop daily with all sorts of applications running and connected peripherals and never experience any issues. Which suggests you have a configuration problem.

As already suggested, you are better off finding someone local who can do a health check and makes sure everything is set up correctly. Once done you shouldn't have any more issues.

Getting remote support might initially seem cheaper, but when you need physical support, that's when the costs (and stress) can mount.

Typically, IT support firms will want upwards of £35+ a month, per user, plus the costs of whatever software or kit they try to encourage you to use or buy. Often giving them a kickback on it too.

If you host your website and domain name with us, we can provide you with your own IT department, for free, without any rules on using special software. You get your own IT department, 7 days a week, you can reach us up to midnight by phone and 24/7 via secure support tickets or WhatsApp.

We work with loads of firms who have been "getting by" doing the same thing you have until they joined us. Googling, You-tubing and guessing, asking a mate who once fixed something that had a plug on it...

If you have a multi-user environment with staff that also need support, we charge £19.99 a month, per user, minimum of 2 users.

Most of what we do is remote, but we also ship kit back and forth as needed. People get their kit delivered to us, we set it up and then send it on to you when you are ready for it, as not everybody has all day to wait around for deliveries of IT kit.

What issues are you facing? I was an IT tech for about 18 years before specialising in what I do now, if I can help then I will. Not looking to gain from it, I might just be able to give you some advice.

IT issues with my laptop

In my case issues with laptop were resolved, after I've bough gaming laptop. They are designed to be resilient toward angry players, hitting keyboard hard. Also gaming laptops resilient for small fallings, and also designed for long hours work, even if gamer wants to play 24 hours. The only issue I have with gaming laptop is some projectors can't get connected immediately.

Also as your name Mercedes Mechanic implies, that your business related to giving mechanic services for cars. It means, that IT equipment should be durable against aggresive environment, which can be aprt of mechanical environments
