Most of the writers saying their articles well SEO optimized and Google loves their content etc..... Has any one out there got a writer who ranked the articles first page on Google? If the answer is YES how much did you pay for an article?

Thanks

This is a misleading question. It's not the article that ranks, it the article within a website and the relationship of the article to the rest of the content. However when I write blog posts they usually rank well. Whether people search for these posts is a different matter.

You could pay £40 for an article on a low competiton keyword. But you could pay £2000 for something that's going to bring in the punters. What I wouldn't do is use anyone promising #1 spot or willing to do it for peanuts. Blog posts and articles for $10 on PPH or elance are pointless.

Spot on fisicx! Article and blogs are not meant to rank #1. They are written as people read it, likes it and share it. The last one "share it" earns a link and which helps domain to increase the ranking. Your articles will rank but how many people searching for your title is big question. You have to reach out to people with your article through various channels like social media, emails etc.

An excellent question, and one that I tackle quite frequently!

The days of stuffing an article with keywords and hoping for the best are long gone. These days it's all about social sharing and semantic SEO. What this means for blog posts is that they should be reader-centric rather than being written for Googlebot. This is a great thing for web users. What this means for web content is that Google is basically much smarter than it used to be. Rather than focusing on keyword occurrence, the algorithm is now based much more on semantic relationships between related terms, along with relevant internal cross-links and external backlinks (where relevant).

The quality of content writing is a much bigger deal than it's ever been before, which is why I'd always recommend a solid content strategy before putting pen to paper. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best with your project.

Writing an article and ranking a page are two separate things entirely.

You can have the most well written, best quality, most resourceful article on the planet, but if it's placed on a site with low authority you're going to have to put in the groundwork to get it ranking.

If your website already has authority, all new blog posts can piggyback off that and rank well without much promotion, assuming your site interlinking is done properly (contextual interlinking is more powerful than nav, sidebar and footer links).

If your website is fairly new you'll have to do some link building to the article to give it a boost in the SERPS.

You can do this utilizing your social media accounts. Share, Tweet, G+ and Pin your article, encourage others to re-share/tweet/pin etc.

Don't forget each share on a social network adds another backlink to your website (aka social signal)

Make sure you have social sharing elements clearly visible on the page, and don't forget to actually ask your readers to share your content within the article.

Along with having a solid content marketing strategy, don't forget to also constantly pursue strong backlinks to increase your overall site authority, this will help future content rank faster with less promotion.

Building strong links to your homepage and inner pages strengthens not only the pages the links are pointing to, but also the other inner pages which they link to.

Link juice flows throughout the whole of your website, increasing the ranking potential of all pages.

Most of the writers saying their articles well SEO optimized and Google loves their content etc.

Writers only creates interesting and engaging content for their targeted audience and not optimizing it for the the search engine. Users prefer this kind of content and not Google, because search engine only provide information to the users.

Has any one out there got a writer who ranked the articles first page on Google?

As mentioned earlier its not the specific article that ranks but the site page or website.

The OP talked about "writers saying their articles well SEO optimized". If the articles aren't intended to rank, what's the point of them being SEO optimised?

Just asking,

Steve

Hmmm now I need to join in the conversation, I've been working with a London client for a few months with SEO services, included in this I kicked her vacant blog into 2015 and wrote a couple of articles myself and sculpted the blog posts accordingly.

After a few weeks she's now on Google page 1 UK for the intended search term, which is her Google Blogspot post which feeds into her site.

Does this mean I have written an article to get to Google page 1?

There's also the fact to consider that no matter how well you optimize an article, it won't rank itself. Google loves quality content, it can detect overly optimized content that doesn't even appeal to the readers.

Best bet to get good rankings is to get a writer who can write quality content that keeps your readers coming back. That way you get traffic, and with a "little" help from SEO, you'll also rank well.

Content marketing is a key to success in today's internet world, but it has to be done right.

Ranking an article or a blog post is not that difficult, if the competition is low. For more competitive keywords you should will probably have to pay a lot, if you want the best results as soon as possible. However, if the topic of the blog post/article is extremely interesting, the images are unique and compelling and the content is innovative it should be easier to rank for certain keywords because your audience will start sharing your content for you.

Just because the articles are seo optimized that does not mean they will rank.
There are lot of things to be considered.
Also many a times the purpose of the article can just be to build links. Like posting an article on EZA or for the purpose of guest posts.

No. No. No. No. no. no.

Do not do this. Ever. Google is penalising people who do this.

"Using EZA isn't doing it correctly. Have you not been following the SEO changes over the last few years?"

Just ranked a chiropractor site last month and a football jersey selling site which ranks 1st and 2nd.

Are you saying submitting to EZA is harmful?
