Need a bit of help please

If i do a search for my company in google and beside the listing for my company it shows the google places page at the side.

I would like instead to have a google+ page displayed here instead (see lovefilm for an example of what I would like)

I have claimed the google places page (a number of times) and deleted it, but this appears to have no affect

Within in the google+ business page I have verified the domain

Anyone any ideas on how to fix this?

This snippet you refer to in Google search is known as the Google Knowledge Graph.

Google largely uses it's own network of data to determine what shows here for what search queries, it's mostly automated and for most businesses, this will often pull out a verified Google Local/Plus page (these are mostly merged now, a Google Places/Local page with a Google+ Business page) although you can also submit particular data for the knowledge graph at Freebase which is where a lot of Google's data comes from and also implementing the relevant Schema markup on your website will help Google identify what type of content your website has and whether this would be suitable for knowledge graph display.
