Freelance work into new business

I am in the process of starting my own business. This is to fundamentaly start a new venture based on the job I currently do (photographer). I will however still undertake some freelance photography work with a small number of clients.

Should I include the freelance work within my businesses books and run them under the same umbrella? I'm going to be registering for VAT so this might make a difference to the price but will it make it easier for me in the long run?

If i understand correctly you should declare anything you earn anyway so probably better to keep it all within the books

At the moment obviously I'm doing an individual self assessment. I was wondering whether I still had the option to do this along with my business, or should I incorporate all into one?

Could be split then, may look a bit dodgy though if the LTD company is doing the same service as you on the side

This is my dilemma. Not sure what to do. Would prefer to include altogether but would like advise on whether this is the best idea?
