Just wanted to know, which website is good to create a free online store or which has low monthly fees?

As iwill be starting out, i do not want to pay high fees?

EKM powershop, Tiger commerce, there are others but i cant think of them off the top of my head.

www.myfreewebsite.co.uk seems good, free webstore but only has facility to list 15 items, however, for just £12.99 per month you can list 50 items, there are other options and different monthly payments available, worth a look thou

Why don't you want to pay high fees? Don't you have confidence in your business?

It is a fallacy to think you can set up an successful e-commerce website on a shoestring. While there may be the occasional success story most fail because they aren't prepared to invest the time and money needed.

All the free (or nearly free) solutions will require a huge amount of effort to generate the visitors needed. Just suppose you pay £20/month for the store and make £1 profit per sale. With a conversion rate of 4% that means at least 500 visitors per month to break even. For a brand new store with almost no search engine visibility that's not going to happen unless you advertise. Which since this costs money you are going to need even more visitors to break even.

We run on the back end of Tiger Ecommerce, been running for 10 months now and quite happy with it..

I have heavily bespoked aspects of the site and I do bug Tiger all the time to let me do this and that but they are quie good really. Great forum community and cheap too!
