Hi everyone.

Somebody on this forum recommended Fastway Couriers and after checking out their site they actually look really good, plus they're really cheap.

I just wondered if anyone else had used them and what you think of them?

I really wanna use them but obviously wanna make sure they're reliable, trustworty and honest etc. What do you think?

Thanks.

 Fastway couriers never ever us them!!!! have cost my company over £3500.
you pay for the stamps upfront then the local courier franchisee leaves and the hundreds of pounds of pre paid stamps are worthless because the next franchisee will not collect on them as he won't get paid.

A customer of mine called the noth east depot and redirected £2850 worth of goods.

They should not have allowed this to happen as the payment turned out to be fraud and I was left out of pocket because the items were not delivered to the card holders address although I sent them to the card address.

I filled out a claim form max £500 per package so would still be out of pocket and then weeks later got told the depot had gone into administration and they don't know what happend to my claim.

I am currently persuing with my solicitor Fastway couriers through the courts

Don't ever use Fastway Couriers

Hi all, apparently last week Fastway Couriers went bust. I suppose you got what you paid for.
We actually have used them for a couple of years and had no problems.
We now have a book full of worthless vouchers, I wonder if we will ever get any money back:mad:

Unfortunately this will only be a regional depot gone bust rather than the whole fastway network. Having said that after a brief look on the website they're down to three depots now so hopefully the end is nigh for this company.

It would appear they are now down to only the Essex depot as the North West Depot ceased trading on the 30th September. I wonder how many people have lost money in this poor excuse for a company since it's inception.

You're correct I think what's disgusting also is what they have posted on their website stating APC depots will honour all tickets in the North West. This is totally untrue and I think down right disgusting of Fastway.
We've had to say sorry we're unable to do that to quite a few customers throughout the Bolton and Wigan postcodes today.
I really feel for the Fastway customers I do I think Fastway is an utter disgrace!

there was a stage where they had a number of depots throughout the country. Had they got rid of the foolish prepaid tickets and operated as others do they may have stood a chance.

The master franchise has crashed and burned in a number of countries. I'm just suprised it managed to hoble along for such a long time. The owner drivers have my sympathy.

Earl
Ooh yes, I'll have 'em. I'll add them to the 150 quids worth I have and that should make a stack just thick enough to wedge under my chair to stop that annoying wobble. :D

Fastway seem to be a good courier, I have never had any problems with them. I've started buying from a supplier in the South of Ireland, and they use Fastway. A few things I like about them:
1) My deliveries arrive earlier in the day than other couriers
2) The driver who covers my local area I know personally, so I can ring him if I think he has a delivery for me, and I need anything :)

I received box 15 of 16 (yep only 1 box) from a large delivery this morning from DPD, the driver tells me there were only a few pallets came across from the mainland over the weekend.....not good when I was expecting to build 8 new PC's today for a job, and especially not good since I paid extra on Friday for a 'next day delivery' (ie today). This happens regularly with the supplier from the mainland, but it's not their fault, it seems to lie with the courier.

You're not from the North West are you? You may have a problem when you try to use them next.
