Hi Shell,
Welcome to the forum. Great to hear you are finding it useful already. Can you tell us anything more about your business and how you got into it?

I hope you continue to find UKBF useful - let me know if you have any questions.

thank you Paula :o)

i want to provide resourcing or full event planning services that caters for all budgets. special events such as hen nights, weddings etc and also kids parties, sweet 16 parties and corporate events as well.

as i mentioned above, I am in the process of changing the website, as a memeber of the forum suggested that the site is a bit too formal so want to keep the formal side for the special / corporate events and change it for the kids etc.

i have always enjoyed planning parties etc and thought that i should finally try and get into it professionally - part-time for now as will need the business to come in before i can give up my day job as a PA ;o) so i did a dimploma course in event planning a few years ago and finally decided to start the website and well, doing everything on my own is not easy - along with very limited funds ......

UKBF is great and have already told some friends about it who have also started thier own businesses

You could put more stuff between the head tags if you want to do better on the search engines.....site description etc.

yes, and the place to put this would specifically be the <title> tag. eg change
Code:
<TITLE>Spoilt-Rotten-Events.com</TITLE>
to
Code:
<TITLE>Spoilt-Rotten-Events.com - full event and party planning, coordination &amp; resourcing services </TITLE>
...but <meta> tags are near worthless.

Welcome, Shell.

That would certainly tie in with the eye-catching name of your site.

i have always enjoyed planning parties etc and thought that i should finally try and get into it professionally - part-time for now as will need the business to come in before i can give up my day job as a PA ;o) so i did a dimploma course in event planning a few years ago and finally decided to start the website and well, doing everything on my own is not easy - along with very limited funds ......
Then you're a typical entrepreneur with the guts to go it alone despite the risks. Good on you. :)
