Dymo label printer...

Anyone here use a dymo label printer???

I'm starting to do a fair few orders on eBay and plan on growing it much faster in the coming months so I need to get things running smoothly and as fast as possible. At the moment I just hand write the address, but have seen the dymo printer which looks ideal.

So, any feedback on this dymo printer and how well it works with eBay?? Is it quick and easy to use gettin info from eBay to label, or is it just as well getting the biro out still??

I buy online postage from Royal Mail website for all eBay orders. This prints the label including pre-paid postage

I use sheets of sticky labels, copy and paste the addresses and then print them off at the end of the day. The problem is you can only pass the sheets through the printer twice, after this become sorta grey and yucky looking, still usable after 3 or 4 passes if your not too bothered about the appearance.

Saying all that, I'm probably going over to a dymo label printer once the current batch of sticky labels has run out.

The Dymo is worth its weight in gold!

But you should also consider integrated label paper - you can buy paper already optimised for eBay - it has a label in the corner for the address.

Dave dont waste your time with integrated labels.

Its either a dymo or a brother label printer.

the difference being that the brother will cut each label as it is finished printing the dymo wont!

I have a brother ql 550 which Im going to put up for sale on ebay. Just purchased the dymo 450.

Both very good printers although the brother is better the labels are abit more pricey.

I'm not sure on eBay compatibility, but if you're after a decent label printer you won't find better than a Zebra. Slightly more expensive than a basic Dymo, but the labels are so much cheaper and they tend to not be so fiddly.

Zebra Label printers are much cheaper on consumables than brother and dymo, but the printers are more expensive but last longer.

If your getting a brother go for the 560 the auto cutter is a god send.

Just shows how old my 550 is, its got a manual cutter, but still going strong.

Think mine is around 2 years old and still going strong! I only change to dymo for cheaper labels but it is a good printer!

Will stick it on ebay they seem to hold there value well! Oh and I have not changed the laser one or cleaned it with that special label thing and still excellent looking labels!

we saved over £2000 per year going from brother shipping labels to a zebra printer with 6x4 in labels which are more than double the size of the shipping once, its worth looking into zebra printers if you have the volumn.

Only thing we have changed are the blades in the brothers which are £8 for 2 i think

We started out with a dymo and still have one for domestic use, they are ace. I even use them for name labels at my kids parties with the opening game always being 'Hunt your name label'

We now use intergrated labels but our volumes are large.

I did try the intgrated labels but the quality started slacking and was not sticking to our bags properly.

I am now uins dymo compatables labels and they are brilliant in fact once stuck in order to take off you need to rip the label!

They work out to half a penny each and thats around 101x 54mm labels.

Them zebra printers look rather large!

We never tried intergrated labels, cost and wastage ment seperate labels were more ecconomical.

You can get different Zebra printers, the cheaper ones are roughly the same size as a brother 560, more expensive ones can be fairly big but these are the real commercial bad boys, ours are about twice the size of the brothers.

The reason they wern't sticking could be temperature. They don't stick well in the cold.

Also if you have them a long time the adhesive starts to go off too.

Yes I did link this to the cold weather but not much I could do at the time and things started to go missing.
