duplicate pages with different locations

Hi,

if I was to create duplicate intro pages but change the location for each ie Intro Croydon, Intro Bromley, Intro London etc etc would this still get indexed by Google or will it be treated as duplicate content and ignored?

I have come across a site that has done the above and it's working very well, but when I try it, Google is ignoring the URLS.

If you look on the right you can see all the different locations

This used to work but not anymore (unless there is no competition). Essentially you have a bunch of duplicate pages thet the SE will see through in a nanosecond. Add to this the fact that you have no internal linking to these pages (except the site map) so it's pretty much a poinless exercise.

And of course you are in Mitcham which means you aren't a printer in Brentwood so that's another disconnect you need to consider.

There are ways round the problem but your solution isn't it.

I don't suppose you could give me a point in the right direction?

Because it's online ordering I thought it may be useful to target as many areas as possible within say 50 miles of London.

Why not consider where you deliver to rather than where you want business from.

This however is the least of your problems. There are shedloads of issues with the site you need to sort out. Problem is a website review is for full members only...

I can't really see what you are trying to acheive. If you deliver all over the UK then having a chingford page isn't of any use at all.

However, I've just been back to the site again and keep finding things wrong like empty pages and a checkout that doesn't work.

I'd be more concerned about this than getting ranked for southgat printers.

Well I was thinking if someone types in "Printing southgate" then surely there is a chance of them giving me a call?

The checkout does work? I've been processing orders every day....

The Booklets page is empty as the site is a work in process

No problem with this sort of marketing but you solution isn't good, it looks way too spammy and I'd only give you a call if you convinced me that your services met my needs.

I've seen this particular site design before. There's a company that offer an off the shelf product for printers that can work but it needs an awful lto of work to make it successful.

I tried to order some business cards and can't work out how to attach my artwork. So for me the checkout process failed.

If you have an empty page then remove it from the site until the content is ready.

Well that would be a start. You have made one of the fundametal errors in your design in that you have forgotten how people use the internet in general and websites in particular. Away from the homepage I'm lost, information is missing and I caould even find the 'home' link.

I've had a another go at the checkout and keep getting error messages, and redundant fields and in the end it just became so frustrating I gave up (again).
