I always try and make Friday afternoon the day to catch up on all the little things, like follow up on projects quoted, chase up any invoices etc etc, however recently I can never seem to get hold of anyone on a Friday afty!
Anyone else get this or just me?

It goes quiet on here on a Friday PM as well mate. I think they are all off down the pub.:)

it does seem to be that way. every job i've worked in, friday afternoons are slack. even if everybody is still in the office, the general level of conversation increases.

For all sorts of reasons; Some prepare for the sabbath, others preparing for a nignt in with their mates, others don't even work on Friday as they see it as their day off :)

I rang a whole bunch of customers and potential leads a few weeks ago on a friday and they had "half day fridays" at some of the companies, so hold on all these businesses are strugling to cope in these "tough times" yet off they go on half day fridays....hmmmm.

Friday is the last day of the "working week" to push and get more done.

Maybe we should all take fridays off, then we wouldn't be so frustrated when we couldn't get hold of anyone.
Trouble is everyone would take Thursday afternoon off then !!

I did get excited then when an email popped into my inbox, only to realise it was an email from UKBF to let me know there was a new post on this thread :D

haha, glad to bring a ray of sunshine to an otherwise quiet and dull friday afternoon :)

Always goes quiet here on Fridays as well, well on the phones and emails anyway!! As a fulfilment company we notice that online orders on our customers websites seem to go up slightly on a Friday afternoon so we need to pick and pack right up until last thing as people expect their orders to be with them next day, so they must know someone is working somewhere even if it is not them!!

Just another working day for me. The same goes for Saturday, and sometimes a few hours on Sunday.

It's a hard old life when this many people want to use you for copywriting. ;):p
