If there's enough feedback to produce a separate section, it wouldn't be too much trouble to add.

But, as @WaveJumper has said, charity/non-profit companies are still businesses. This means that you can talk about these kinds of businesses in all of the different categories on the forum.

It’s like the question about a property developer section. It’s not really needed as the questions will be about topics already in the current list (marketing, finance, legal, employment etc). Makes no difference if it’s for a charity, company or sole trader.

The big advantage being is that there is no one else to fall-out with! I used to have wonderful conversations with my dog, but sadly he died earlier this year.

Well….I don't think you should dismiss the idea out of hand.

There are significant differences between charities and full-fat capitalist organisations that they might want to discuss. Stuff like the requirements of the charity commission, defining charitable purposes, charity law, funding methods, finding donors, sponsors and organising funding campaigns, working with the private sector, finding volunteer trustee and forming trustee boards, recruiting, organising and motivating staff volunteers, distribution of benefits, tax and VAT recovery, finding help. Etc.

Depends whether you have enough people here that run charities or are interested in doing it.

All of these topics can be discussed in currently existing forums.

At the moment, there are not enough posts being made about charities, and the introduction of new forums will not increase interest I'm afraid.

If there comes a point in the future when there are a great deal of charity-specific discussions going on, we can break them off and branch out into a new forum at that time.
