It depends on how skilled they are. If it work connected to building, some of the consumer forums where people discuss what they pay to get work done on their house might give you a rough guide. I saw a figure of £200-250 a day for outside of London bandied about a few years ago on one such forum. Calcualtions are fine, but it is the going rate that matters the most.
