Can we sell your products?

Hi Guys,

I am currently looking for new sites to join our shopping store.

Icoste is a UK superstore offering a wide variety of products to our customers from hundreds of UK stores, including popular high street shops such as Comet, JD Sports & Sainsbury’s.

I want to get niche sites listed into our database to improve our range of products, and I would like to invite new sites to list their products on our site.

Having your products listed on Icoste would benefit both parties as you would gain more customers, more awareness, more inbound links and essentially more sales. We on the other hand give our customers a wider range of products so that they do not need to leave Icoste to find the product they want to buy.

There are several ways to get your products listed, the easiest way is to send me a database of your products that include the price, title, description, image and URL of your “buy” page. I can then import this into Icoste and get your products listed within a few hours.

If you are wondering what this is going to cost you, it is completely up to you. You can list your products for free if you decide to place our small logo or link on your site, you can pay an annual fee on £199.99 or you can pay per click to your products at £0.07p per click.

Most of our clients are choosing the free option, however the choice is completely up to you.

As I said I would like to have your site on board if you are interested. If you would like more details or you are interested in listing your products please don’t hesitate to contact me.

How do you guys make any money from the free option?

What kind of traffic figures are you getting?

How are you promoting the site?

After the eDirectory fiasco I'm a little wary of your type of site

Hi

Would the logo and link have to be on the home page of the site? Or could it be on a links page?

Would you except a file as used for a google products bulk upload?

Many Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for your questions, we dont make money from the free option but we give our customers more choice, and smaller sites often offer niche content and competitive prices. We done just want to offer products from the large retailers such as Comet, we would also like to have smaller sites on board as well.

We promote the site purely from natural search engine results and every so often we run a Pay Per Click campaign.

We believe that the best conversion rates come from customers searching for our products rather than "pushing" our products in their face when they dont want them.

Currently we get around 6000-10,000 unique visitors per month. We havnt been live and expect to be receiving around 30,000 visitors per month by end on February 2008.

Hope this answers your questions.

Many thanks

We can accept any product feed as long as it contains:

>Product Title
>Product Description
>Product Price
>Product Brand (If available)
>Product Image (If available)
>Delivery Cost (If available)
>Product Buy URL
>Category for each item (We can supply you with a list of our categorys or you can use categorys from other sites such as Froogle, Kelkoo etc and we can convert them to our categorys)

The logo would need to be placed on every page, either on a header or footer file.

Hi,

The logo is a very small logo simply advising that you are listed in Icoste. The logo is 88x31 pixels and most sites usually place this with their visa and mastercard logos.

Many thanks

Doesn't matter why should I promote another site that may be promoting competitors of mine.

Hi,

Because we will be listing hundreds of your products and directing targeted customers directly to your purchase page.

Many thanks for your response anyway.

You would be much better off if you offered the option of PPA instead of PPC. There are many other price comparison sites that only offer PPC and there are many traders who won't touch them.

PPA on the other hand........
