business cards

instantprint is cheaper
I would never recommend Vistaprint - you can often guess a business card has been made by them and it makes you look like you're not serious about your business. Often you'll find a local print and design company can be cheaper too!

Unfortunely the local route has never been cheap from my experience and I do a LOT of printing for events.

I sometimes need to use a local printer to get banners printed last minute. Which is fine I've haggled the price down to a reasonable amount. (equivalent to an online printer price + postage).

My client wanted printing done of leaflets a bit last minute and asked to get details of our printer so they could order from them and I'll bring the banner and their leaflets to the exhibition stand the next day. They ripped my client off charging £70 for 150 leaflets!! I was so peeved off by that.

I expect high street printers to be more expensive because they can't scale anything, they have a handful of staff who are doing business cards one minute, posters the next, bookbinding thereafter. So they don't really have a long stream of repetitive work like an online printer does where they can put 1 team on business cards and do the same job all day.

Most online printers are based in an industrial premises and the cost efficiencies are passed down to the buyer. Can't speak about vistaprint but I use instantprint and their stuff are very competitively priced.

I met recently a competitor who had these amazing business cards printed with 3D, was so impressed I asked him for the contact of his printer and am having my new cards done there.

Have a chat with Nikk from Northview Creative, tell him you want awesome business cards with 3D.

They're not cheap I think it costs around £170 but I think it is well worth the money to stand out and have something beautiful.

I don't even care about how much the price is, I want beautiful business cards and when people see them they'll say "WOW these are amazing". My current cards are nice but don't have that effect so I feel I'm just one more guy with business cards whenever I go to a networking event.
