the OP does not tell us much, I am assuming by the question being asked, that EPOS is something that might help, and it is an early stage venture, maybe the shop has only just opened ?
but going with your figure of £50k t/o - just to do some math
iZettle charging 1.75% would be £875 per annum with free EPOS ( no rental or purchase required for the EPOS. except the £19 one off cost for the iZettle reader)
Merchant Account 0.5% would be £250 per annum ( no Amex ) no EPOS and additional costs which have not been disclosed by "consultant"
so I guess for the OP, is the iZettle EPOS app worth £500 per annum, and that iZettle is a no contract - a kinda get your feet wet first type of deal, is the EPOS that comes with it worth £10 a week, if it is then iZettle is worthy of consideration
or you go down the Merchant account route which has lower credit card processing fees, but you still need to an find EPOS device/supplier ( that can hold 200 items ) and at what cost ?
if the OP is starting from scratch and the t/o is zero, then it seems to me that iZettle is a no brainer for a few months until the business gets off the ground
