Are you a Christian?

Yeah.. I watched the one where his colleague was killed by one of the beasts.

That is because of the fact the man is no-longer trusted by these animals but under the Kingdom rulership the Bible promises this.

(Isaiah 11:6-9) the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them. 7*And the cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. 8*And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra; and upon the light aperture of a poisonous snake will a weaned child actually put his own hand. 9*They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.

Great future prophesy to look forward too, will you be there to see it happen?

You can, have you not been to the Circus?

Next time there in your town you need to go, they are able to tame the elephants as well.

So the circus doesn't need cages and chains, stick and prods to control the animals? Are these animals so tame the audience is allowed to stoke them? ....

In fact, if you were correct Zoo's wouldn't need cages, we could just ask the animal to sit there so others can view them.

Doesn't work out like that tho, they have a habit of escaping.

...the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down...

For a while being the key phrase here. I'd give it less than ten seconds before the wolf tore into that lamb, anyone want to do a sweepstake? Who wants 9 seconds?

Yes, but all the animals are all in subjection to man just as the Creator deemed they should.

Cannot argue with that fact, as even David Attenborough would have to admit.

You said this earlier, but now apparently animals can and do decide?

Upvote 0
Well, you said that all animals are to bow down to us and that we are their masters, so I guess the contradiction is that you admit this isn't the case.

They would be in loving subjection to us, we would not to treat animals with cruelty as they do today, but in the God's new system that will not be the case.

We will live in peace with the animals.

Will you be there to see it?

DCE have you learnt anything on this (and the other thread)

If so, what?

That we are, with out any shadow of a doubt, in the last days of this system of things.

(2 Timothy 3:1-5) .But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2*For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3*having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4*betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5*having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power;

That's been true for 2000 years DCE, so I wouldn't expect the end of the world anytime soon.

It is not the end of the world!

But look what has happened on earth since the time God created man?

Because man rebelled and turned his back on his Creator living conditions have been far from ideal.

Men have leaned upon their own wisdom and tried to rule the earth without God.

This has resulted in a colossal mess.

Mankind has become divided into nationalistic groups that are constantly quarrelling and fighting among themselves.

Vast cities have become asphalt jungles where people prey upon one another, acting like unreasoning wild beasts.

Violence, crime, injustice and rebellion are everywhere.

Man in his folly is even ruining his earthly environment upon which he depends for life.

He is polluting the air and fouling the rivers, lakes and oceans.

He has ruined fertile lands by unwise agricultural practices and has ruthlessly slaughtered vast numbers of wild creatures, causing many to become extinct.

Indeed, man’s effort to rule himself without God has been a monumental failure.

Satan’s has had his day, he has proved to be liar, man cannot rule himself that is plain to see, so God is now going to intervene.

All man’s governments have been an utter failure, causing untold suffering.

If allowed to go on much longer in this age of nuclear weapons and worldwide environmental pollution, men could destroy themselves and their earthly home.

(Revelation 11:17-18) We thank you, Jehovah God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun ruling as king. 18*But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time for the dead to be judged, and to give [their] reward to your slaves the prophets and to the holy ones and to those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”

Bo11ocks. Man's effort to rule himself without God is only truly beginning with Atheists no longer being persecuted at the stake.

Give it another 20 years and I hope the majority understand where we really came from, that religion is a waste of time, a waste of life, and a waste of money.

Time my friend. Only a matter of time :)

This is the problem with religous types justifying their beliefs - you're just not very good at it! Literally every single point below is wrong.

But look what has happened on earth since the time God created man?

Because man rebelled and turned his back on his Creator living conditions have been far from ideal.

Since the first recorded history of man looking to God things have only ever got better. There is more order in the world than ever before, people live longer, progress has sped up.

Men have leaned upon their own wisdom and tried to rule the earth without God.

This has resulted in a colossal mess.

Mankind has become divided into nationalistic groups that are constantly quarrelling and fighting among themselves.

Again, go back to when we all had some sort of religous beliefs, and you have to go back so far that the plane and boat had yet to be invented. Anyone foreign would have been treated as alien!

And how do you expect to side-step the fact that the vast majority of nationalistic diveds today are down to religion?

Vast cities have become asphalt jungles where people prey upon one another, acting like unreasoning wild beasts.

Or in fact, acting like all other beasts, all of God's other supposed creations. When was the last time you saw a spider catch a fly, apologise to its parents and then offer to share the carcass with another spider?...

Most countries do have equal opportunities, the people as a whole are attempting to share the combined wealth in welfare states. Oddly enough the countries where this does not happen all have one thing in common - religion.

Violence, crime, injustice and rebellion are everywhere.

I believe even the Bible explains the permitence of these things as necessary in order to make contrast with what is good in the world. With no white, we could not see black, with no violance, we would not know peace.

So who was to blame for the dinosaurs? Did they fail to visit Church suitably often?

Most of the supposed damage we have done to the planet peaked a long time ago. And as always, the constant march of technology causes problems, the fixes them. In 50 years the planet could be in serious trouble, sure. But look how much has changed in the last 10 years. It's natural for us to pursue cleverer ways of doing things, you should have faith in our ability to make that facet of our species work in our favour long term. I do dislike you faithless people.

We are changing the environment sure, but thats no sin. The Earth may be very big and very important, but it's no more or less valid as a physical entity than my hair, and I change that all the time.

Indeed, man’s effort to rule himself without God has been a monumental failure.

No really, my hair is fine.

Satan’s has had his day, he has proved to be liar, man cannot rule himself that is plain to see, so God is now going to intervene.

All man’s governments have been an utter failure, causing untold suffering.

God's biggest problem when it comes to intervening is a lack of existence. I'm also at pains to blame Satan for anything, as sadly he too is fictional. Actually there are countries that really approve of their Governments, Germany, for example.

If allowed to go on much longer in this age of nuclear weapons and worldwide environmental pollution, men could destroy themselves and their earthly home.

Oddly the bible forgot to mention the trillions of other planets out there. All of which make up the 'actual' world, this is but one. You, for instance, could technically trace your roots back to a land mass that almost certainly no longer exists on this planet, or at least not above water. And back on that once land your ancestors would have felt as isolated and alone as we sometime do on the rock we call Earth.

Man is not so far away (proprtionatly in history as a whole) to setting up basic civilisation elsewhere.

No really, if you cannot tie your rants about God to some sort of current and not made up situation, then how can you expect anyone to listen? Can you not draw some strength and inspiration from God to come back at us with an argument as well structured as we give back? If not, feel free to come over to 'our side'.

(2 Timothy 3:1-5)
(1 ANON 2010 1:1-1) And so it will come to pass that all non believers will now be believed and man will live in peace without religion. The fatted calf will be turned into prime rib steaks. Elephants shall decide who to gore and all the empty churches will be reborn as JD Wetherspoons's pubs selling excellent real ale at under £2.00 per pint. And so it will be that there will be no unemployment as all the religious people will be offered jobs as bar staff on the minimum wage plus tips.

(I am not being cheeky incidentally. I am only trying to illustrate to you what the nonsense you persist in peddling sounds like to we atheists and humanists.)

DCE I'm still waiting for you to answer why you think that the end of the world didn't happen at the time that the bible's authors said it would and why you are still waiting for something that should have happened almost 2000 years ago.

Really makes you think about things getting better in the world, that you consider moving in the right direction.

Let's see, I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained she didn't want any prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school, the Bible that says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbour as yourself. And we said, OK. Then someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. And the school administrators said no faculty member in this school better touch a student when they misbehave because we don't want any bad publicity, and we surely don't want to be sued. And we accepted their reasoning...

Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they want, and they won't even have to tell their parents. And we said, that's a grand idea. Then some wise school board member said, since boys will be boys and they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms they want, so they can have all the fun they desire, and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school. And we said, that's another great idea.

Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs. And agreeing with them, we said it doesn't matter to me what anyone, including the President, does in private as long as I have a job and the economy is good... And then someone said let's print magazines with pictures of nude women and call it wholesome down-to-earth appreciation for the beauty of the female body. And we said we have no problem with that,, And someone else took that appreciation a step further and published pictures of nude children and then stepped further still by making them available on the internet. And we said they're entitled to their free speech.

And the entertainment industry said, let's make TV shows and movies that promote profanity, violence, and illicit sex and let's record music that encourages rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes... And we said it's just entertainment, it has no adverse effect, and nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead... Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with:- "REAPING WHAT WE SOW."

Thank goodness God is going to intervene into man's affairs.

I thought he already did? Is that not why we have famine, war, natural disasters killing literally millions of innocent people, air-borne infectious diseases wiping out entire towns, malformed genetics causing intolerable life-long pain and suffering...

Or is that a different God?

You are realy quite insane.

As the general public break the bondage of slavery to religion, we have also made huge advances in bettering the lot of society.

A few hundred years ago 'we' were a much more god fearing society - probably a place you would be at home.

A few hunrdred years ago there were no human rights, no childrens rights, abuse, violence and robbery on a much larger scale than we have today - manipulation and exploitation was rife and people would regularly die in the street uncared for.

But they all had god so it was ok.

Today we have better standards of living, are safer and more secure than ever - there is less exploitation, hunger, fear and insecurity than ever before - yet you and your ilk keep harking on about a non-existant utopia where everything was perfect, before our society becase diseased and decadent through turning away from god.

How very damaged you are. I feel sorry for you.
