How does a business start when using social media? do businesses tend to post lots of adverts or do they tend to go for paid for advertising?

Also, any advice for a software company looking to take the reins of Social Media, which platform would be best? was looking at LinkedIn as it appears more business orientated?

Anybody, had any experience with using the paid form of the platforms and if it is something worth investing in?

Thanks

Lee

To start leveraging social (without simply buying adverts) either start conversations or join them. To join them find conversations using hashtags etc, to start them create some great content and start a conversation around it. Worth considering.

How often do you buy things or get services as a result of something you saw on a social media site? I suspect the answer is 'hardly ever'. And that's how it is for most people. So why do you think it's going to be way different for you?

PS: the homepage video doesn't work on my iPhone. Doesn't bode well for your software

Hi Fisicx,

I was thinking the same but then you see these great testimonials but to be honest I cannot see how it works for a B2B, may a B2C.

Thanks for the info on the video, will have a look at that.

Thanks RedEvo,

I was interested initially but I don't want to waste my time if this is a form of media that wo't work with B2B
