StepSocial social media management

Anyone ever used a service similar to this for social media?

I assume it's outsourced at the low-ish price.

Or any other recommendations?

I'm rubbish with graphic design and creating stuff worthwhile for the various platforms and don't particularly enjoy that side of things but want some sort of activity to promote what we do.

Would this generate $1000+ of new business each year? If not you a probably better of spending the money on adverts.

Social media marketing can work for certain products and services but mostly doesn’t. The main reason being SM channels are awash with promoted content.

How often do you buy something after seeing it on TikTok or wherever?

I only know one person that does this and she has great success on Instagram. Facebook and Tiktok.

Same here. I know a few that have great success with SMM. But for every success story there are hundreds who fail.

The real trick is to get your followers to do your marketing for you. The hard part is gathering the right sort of follower.

At lower prices, content is often outsourced to generalists, which risks generic or off-brand output. Having someone with domain knowledge in your industry is important, as well as someone who understands social media and how quickly it moves.
What I’d likely do instead (or in addition)
    • Hire a small UK freelancer/agency specialising in your niche: higher cost but more control and brand voice
    • Use tools like Canva, Capcut + scheduling tools (Buffer, Later) to reduce the design burden
    • Start internally: get a junior / assistant to handle the lighter tasks, then outsource the rest
