Just saw this and thought might make a nice little puzzel:

"Mary's Father has 4 Daughters, 1. ACBZ 2. ADBY 3. AEBX...Find out the 4th Girl's name... "

Well, it could be ... (spoiler alert I've put my answer below in white text - if you want to see my answer highlight the line below and it should) show up , if you want to keep trying the puzzle without seeing my answer you can:

My Answer: AFBW

I might, however, be taking this too seriously, and there's some witty answer I've missed?

I like it, I like it alot...

Anyway,

A father and son have a car accident and are both badly injured. They are taken to separate hospitals.

When the boy is taken in for an operation the surgeon says 'I can not do the surgery because this is my son!'. How is this possible?

A pair of twins were born in March but their birthday is in August. When they grew up they married each other.

Explain!

Jeff

(just to clarify the twins were each others twin - i.e. they were born to the same mother, on the sane day.)

Jeff I give up on yours .... Bri just tried to exlplain it to me five times and it had to do with "pair" ... me confuddled ... but here's another one ....

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.

Now count aloud the F's in that sentence. Count them QUICKLY AND ONLY ONCE. Do not go back and count them again. What is your answer?

Nothing to do with 'pair' - its one of those that's obvious when you know! Its actually 2 puzzles - one about the birthday and then another puzzle about how they ended up marrying each other.

I'll give the solution some time tomorrow, to give anyone else a chance to have a go!

Jeff

p.s. FaerieB - 6 fs? (must confess that I've seen that one before.)

:D Loving the puzzles, think my brain is working slow today though, some of them took about a min to sink in and make sense.

 I should get to bed earlier.

Well done to Doodles & LTT - the twins were born in the month of August, but in the town of March, Cambridgeshire.

They both grew up to be vicars, and officiated at each others wedding ceremony.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Here's another:

A man had worked in the same job for 17 years. One afternoon, he decided he'd had enough. He turned off all the lights, got in his car and drove off. He was never seen again. Regrettably, his actions led to the deaths of 243 people.

Explain?

It can't be, he left 'one afternoon' so a lighthouse being off would be meaningless. Perhaps he was a traffic lights engineer?
Ah, but there's nothing to say that people died in the afternoon, is there? I mean, lets face it, if the ship had crashed into the lighthouse within minutes of the keeper vacating his position it would be a bit silly wouldn't it? Specially if it wasn't even dark ........ honestly, you really need to think these things through
