0845 numbers how to find

I am looking to trace the telephone company who issued a particular 08452 number.

Is there a database look up table or directory that lists number ranges and telco controlling.

its that or u contact either phone directing (bt, virgin etc) and ask?

Thanks for that but I am looking at a specific number of a company that closed with a view to contacting the telephone company that issued it and taking over that number - the number has an auto message on so not very helpful in finding out who is operating it

ooo ... ermm i wouldnt have the foggiest how to find out. im guessing the likelyhood is that it'll be BT, ring them and ask.
