Good afternoon, everybody. Last couple of months I have been looking for a side hustle to earn extra money and noticed this Honeygain app. Have anybody tried it? Could you tell me if it's legit? Is it possible to earn with it?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Legit meaning legal, very likely.

It sounds very shady. I would guess by "data scientists" you actually mean scrapers.

It could be a lot worse if it lets people tunnel through your network to do something illegal.

I also cannot help wondering why you would ask this question here, after asking one rather silly question and posting an intro when you only joined the forum today. Not doing marketing for Honeygain by any chance, are you?

matched betting is a legitimate income source - can be anything up to 2,000 a month (some do more) depending on time spent.

Does it not get difficult after the first month or so with matched betting so most people can't do it as a regular income? More of a one time thing.

Please don't call my questions "silly". We all have different kind of knowledge so the question about domain creation is not clear for me. It's more than great if you have knowledge in this field, but I don't and let's be tolerant. Don't make people aware of asking questions. It's not a shame to ask, it's a shame when you don't want to know...
And back to Honeygain topic, it's not clear for me as well, that's why I asked if there are people who have tried it and what was their experience. Some reviews I saw were great and it attracted me but I know we should always make a research before trying new apps, especially the ones that are related with "easy money".

If you want to use Honeygain that's fine. But don't expect to earn a lot. And expect you data allowance to disappear in days.

No? don't know where you have got that from - there's people that have been doing it for more than 10 years. you would need to join one of the paid for communities where they post all the deals and the offers. most of the people who have been doing it for years earn more now then they did at the start. there's little effort required.

Have been reading up more about it since I posted. I was right after the first part there is a lot more to it and it gets a lot more work and involvement for it to pay properly. Certainly not easy and with little effort.

each to their own - I do it. I spend 30 mins a morning and 2 hours Saturday morning for between 500 to 600 a month. more time spent on it means more made. its entirely flexible you get out what you put in. but its the easiest form of money making from home - without doubt.

I used to know a guy that made all his living from match betting and he got more than £2000 a month. But as someone said earlier it gets harder after the first few months because you need to find new people to sign up once you have exhausted family and friends. It was all legal though.

I don't know why I am getting dragged into this. but, the above isn't how it works. Sign-ups are an initial way to make money. But, the regular offers are what makes you the regular income - you like everyone else seem to think that its about the initial sign up offers when in actual fact its about what happens after that. It's not hard - it's very easy. There's websites and communities where they tell you more or less exactly what to do. its a no brainer.

Out of interest why don't you use it to make more than you do?

I can do more or less depending on what i feel like and when but that's just an amount that I can deal with quite comfortably with little effort being involved. I say that because we have a baby and typically time is more important than ever before now.

Thank you guys for discussion about matched betting, but I created this thread to get information about Honeygain app so still interested about your experience using this app.

It’s an app for people who really thinks you can get money for free. I doubt you will find anyone on a business forum who would even consider using Honeygain.

Well, I would appreciate more detailed answer than just saying one word like "crap". That's why I asked, I thought maybe somebody could share their experiences.
I read beer money forum and found nice reviews even with screenshots of they payments users got. So now I feel 50/50 about trying it.

Sometimes one word sums it up.
You can have the flowery version or the management speak version instead but if it boils down to the same meaning...?

Nobody here uses it or will ever use it.

If you want to try it refer to the reviews on the beer money forum.

Honeygain - It's really crap and dishonest.

It claims to be paying $1 for each 10GB of data, which the supposed "data scientists" use, which makes no sense as data costs far less than this.

Therefore they have some reason for wanting to run software on millions of phones across the world, this reason is not given, but it's safe to assume its dishonest.

So now I feel 50/50 about trying it.

As you work for Honeygain, that seems like a strange attitude.

No doubt they have downloaded everything on the computers of all who have tried it

Also electricity bill exceeds the promised pay

Is the data used about what you do on the computer rather than actual computer working on solving something

All valid questions

Well, it seems Honeygain is not an option to earn money, it may help to earn some extra bucks, not to pay for your rent or something. The point that attracted me was that it's totally passive, you don't use your computer to run Honeygain, you use your computer naturally and apps like these (if they really work) just run in the background.
Or I am mistaken?

Sorry if I am.

If wanting to use data processing power of mobile devices then would want to know what its for.
Data scientists is a really poor term.
