Vehicle Wrap

Hi Guys & Girls,

Quick & simple question - anyone here have any knowledge of pricing for vehicle wrapping? I'm sure I once saw someone around here who did it.

We've been asked to quote for this twice in 2 weeks by seperate clients (bus syndrome...nothing then 2 come along at once!) so would be handy to get some indication of the costs involved.

Cheers Folks

Very expensive. We had a Transit size van done ages ago for about 1500 quid.

When we had our Yeti Smart car done it cost around £500.00.

I suggest ringing round as the quotes were stupid high for most places cos they outsource and whack on a margin.

This is the company that did ours: http://www.signwerx.co.uk/

Will try and post a pic of the car below, it looks very good (well, I think so anyway).

Hi we produce vehicle wraps (in-house) for customers. obviously size dictates cost here. A transit sized van would cost you around £1300-£1500.

If you would like any advice on this subject then please contact me.

Thanks for the price comparisons on here, we've just been quoted £2,900 for a campervan that we've already got the artwork for. .... I think not. Just trying the companies mentioned above now.

Silky

that sounds very expensive as all theyre doing is printing it and applying it if you are supplying artwork

Bargain a weeks work actually fitting though, fitters tend to do a few jobs at once

How much to wrap 5 new Astra vans? do these things come off on you decide to sell the van?

Do you do a design mock up first?

yes they come off, its just like sign writing a van, its just stick-on vinyl, probably easier to take a wrap off as it has a large circumferance volume as opposed to individually peeling off phone numbers and small email address letters like on my vans

Any decent company will give you a draft for you to go over and you can highlight anything you dont like or want changed

Hi

If anyone is looking to target companies who own their own vehicles please get in touch.

We have lists of companies who operate cars/vans/trucks/bikes and also the name of the decision maker for fleet acquisition. Personal email addresses are available on request.

You will get all sorts of prices at the end of the day you will pay for what you get, matterial type, quality of fitting, preperation and after service.
On average a small car will cost £800.00 and medium approx £1100.00 Large £1700.00 4x4 £1700.00-£1900.00 and the prices change again for corporate designs etc.

Any cheaper and you will have problems usually.

Peeling cracking fading.

My company sits right next door to a van wrapping company. I know them to be quite reasonable to be fair.

They are always passing work in our direction and their clients range from one man bands right through to corporate companies. I think it's all down to how much design input you want, as well as how long you take to get logo etc together.

You can read their blog on why van wrapping is crucial and money saving at their website vwaa. co .uk

    Hi Mark, a few things...

Material. 3M & Avery lead the way with adhesvive technology, and charge a premium for it, but can make installing quicker.

Other films are on the market, that are cheaper. It is often down to the fitters preference.

If a printed wrap, design time, and production costs. If it's a car a lower spec vinyl sill do, deep recesses like the old Merc sprinters need a higher spec.

Then to do it properly there's the preperation, cleaning, removing handles, lights, etc. Smaller vans will be quicker than a big van. Same sketch with fitting.

There are those who've watched videos on youtube and think they can wrap, vs others who have done course. Topped off with people jumping on the band wagon, competing on price.

We don't entertain full wraps as we can male more on a partial commercial wrap.
