Google got rid of "web" google alerts

Anyone bothered?

They are retiring them as they are not used much and will be converted into "everything" alerts.

Funny that if I wanted "everything" that's what I would select...

It is a bug - I wasn't sure how widely used they are, I only have a handful of useful ones set up and my comment abut the "everything" is annoying. Like I said if I wanted "everything" that's what I would've selected! Let's start a petition....

I used to get some good links from GA but most of what comes through now is a load of rubbish, articles written buy people who dont know about the subject and repeated 10 -20 links a day articles.

Yes, I use Google alerts too, but do tend to look at 'everything' as my alerts are set up for very specific things.

I wonder why they are changing this?
