Have they changed to a burger menu (the 3 lines)?

Can you post a link to the site. That way we can see the problem.

, I have created 5 Wordpress websites using various themes and my advice is:
1. If it’s a business site then buy the pro version of the theme and then you will get support with problems.
2. If you are going to play with coding then set up a child theme- never play with the core.
3. Get a host that knows Wordpress

I am not a programmer so I only add bits of code to CSS or in widget HTML or in customizer.

It looks to me that there should be a separate menu available to manage the mobile navigation within your admin control panel?

It’s not just the menu that’s blank also the button in the middle that appears on my iPad and computer doesn’t appear on a mobile phone someone mentioned screen size I was fiddling on with the primary header to reduce the gap between the header and the text so I’m wondering if this has something to do with it

Looking at the HTML, there are 2 headers. One for desktop and one for mobile.

That button doesn't exist in the mobile header HTML, so there is nothing to display.

I don't tend to use page builders so I'm not entirely sure on this particular theme, but I think you should take more time looking through the documentation.

(I tried pasting a link to the documentation but even as a paying member here at UKBF I cannot post links to external websites).

Astra is supposed to be fast but it’s not that different to any of the freebies you get with WP.

And the ux on the slide in menu isn’t that good. If you only have a couple of links do t hide them away.

Build the site then choose the theme.
