Hi All,

Can anyone advise what solutions I require for new website. Food delivery service with outlets in a few different postcodes. Each postcode group has a slightly different menu due to differences in local suppliers. Orders need to be processed immediately with payment online or on delivery but must be via HQ.

Don't even have a domain yet (but this will obviously match existing outlets and is available) so your thoughts on best approach from start to finish would be appreciated.

Thanks

have done something very much sounding like this..

we opted for a custom coding solution, cost was around £4k, though the design was done by a separate agency so that cost would be on top.

Sanj its retail, currently high street with OK delivery orders on request but if delivery is to be done then would like to do in a more deliberate way.

Store with sub-stores sounds good, will research more there. Was thinking landing page with phone number and bit of hype, then enter postcode for delivery and up comes specific food menu. customer chooses and then has option to pay online, over phone or on delivery.

joseph, would really like to steer clear of custom or skilled labor intensive routes and do as much myself as possible. Given that there are so many similar site most acting as agents for retailers could you suggest a what solutions/programs/mix they would be using?

I could build you a site. I can make it out of the box with some customisations to match what you want. Also have a look at Magento if you are wanting to do it yourself.

I have a programmer who has said he can do this for £1000, but he charges 20% up front.

If your interested let me know and i will put you in contact with him. He is based in Sheffield if that is of interest.

Thank you Sanj. I will be reading up on this and will keep your offer in mind if I find myself out of my depth. Magneto is similar to joomla?

tony84, still trying to understand what I need first but thank you all the same for now.
