They are worth nothing if you can't sell them, just take £480 for them.

Exactly.

I first joined the other thread to offer advice to your OP Citizen; Its really quite simple, if you cannot sell them yourself take my offer!

Thats great advice - they are literally worthless to you.

In effect then you are actually sticking with £0

Delta you took the words out of my mouth.

Nick, £70 is (in the big scheme of things) a tiny amount of money to quibble over, considering you're making a loss anyway.

You will likely end up with £0 if you carry on like this.

Serious offer to you.

if you want to do door to door canvasing for life insurance quotes, i will pay you £7 for each one that is verified. You should be able to generate at least 10 per day

Will you be advising him on how to complete his tax return so he can pay tax on his income of.......£0.

If he does sell them for more than £0 one hopes he will inform the dole office so they can stop his payments.

Movietub, £550 Come on its an awesome price!

I gave you my breakdown as to why they were worth only £480 to me.

I can't take your advice on what is an awesome price and what is not. You bought them and lost money so what do you know? I'm not interested unless I KNOW I can make money.

What would I sell though? Nick

Seriously mate, take the £480.00. The next step would be to sell your computer - you might get a couple of hundred for it, stop wasting time making silly posts (especially when you ignore 99.9% of the advise given), get down to the job centre or employment agency and TAKE SOME CONTROL OVER YOUR LIFE!!!

Odds on that this thread will degenerate by the time that I've popped out to get a coffee. Clock is ticking......now

I have offered him a job and i am only down the road from him. But it seems knocking on doors is a bit beneath him, perhaps because it would involve working?

What I really want to do is, have a website and get it out there! A website selling electronic goods and 7,000 hits everyday. I dont want to do autopilot as I would want to go the work myself. I know what products I would use and have an idea for pricing. Nick

Obviously nothing is going to be good enough.

What better offer than a job, or £480 in his hand - without having to worry about delivery costs?! Holy hell - even I am losing my patience now!

By the way I know nothing about websites but I do a lot of online shopping and I don't think you can just open a website and have 7k of hits without some investment.

And how long is this going to take? Even if you started now it would take 2-3 years and an awful lot of money to get that sort of traffic.

But £480 would be a start. It would pay for your hosting for a year.

Nick, be real. Not many people your age get this. It's been 2 years on the dole mate. Are you happy with that?

I'm trying to constructive here fella. The cold, harsh fact is that you are (so it seems) completely incapable of running your own business. After 2 years on the dole you should easily be up and running by now.

Please, take the money, drop your dream for now and enter the real world.

Take the advise given - sell the software moviedub (I'm curious how much he'll make - i used to be a software reselleer/trader in a former life), sign up with an employment agency, get to your job centre at least on a weekly basis, perhaps go back to education.
