Does anyone know of genuine directories or listings for SaaS businesses that are known to help or are at least a source to stand out to their potential customers?

Don't know what SaaS businesses means, but there are hundreds of directories where you can get free or paid for directories either Business to Business or Business to Consumer.

You will need to identify which ones are the ones that your target customers/audience use and focus on these.

Every directory is different and 99.9% are ignored by everybody. If you want to get noticed pay for advertising.

If it's to build links the answer is none of them. If it's to attract visitors then start with the directories who rank well for your chosen keywords.
