There are clearly a lot of business owners on here, I'm just interested in which issues you find more tiring when trying to sort out?
Yeah to be fair sales calls can be very frustrating. We offer more of a consultancy approach and all our services are actually free of charge so we like to think we're a bit different to the standard call centers you will have ringing you![]()
You have no box on your survey for 'people telling me I can save money on my utilities, telecoms, card processing, etc etc'.![]()
I've had some pretty annoying cold callers lately (more so than normal). I find their anger shows when you refuse to engage in the script. And all that "we are not trying to sell you anything" is always a lie. Somebody has to pay. I can already hear the grief i will get for this reply!
No grief from here, I totally agree. Although we're a business cost reduction company we work in a VERY different way to all the others you mentioned and our services are ALWAYS free to the client. There's NO element of hard sell, NO pressure etc. We hugely pride ourselves on not being the exact company you mentioned and as long as they carry on acting like that, people will appreciate more how our company works.
Clients that don't know what they want! Those clients that always have "amazing ideas" and think they know everything, yet they have no clue about market, competition or how much work goes into completing a project.
What part of that isn't true?
I think members may be less suspicious if you explained exactly how you make money. Obviously someone pays somewhere, or you've got the worlds worst business model.![]()
What part of that isn't true?
I presume, when you're dealing a clients energy contracts, you add your uplift to the unit rate. The customer has to pay, hence it is not a free service
Many utility companies pay finders fees.
It’s just another overhead like advertising, except paying a finders fee guarantees them custom unlike PPC etc.
The business relationship is pretty similar to how recruitment agencies work with candidates.
If a business saves money and hasn’t had to pay for the privilege, surely everyone is a winner?
