Here are the rankings for my websites which are laser focused and I am aiming for one keyword mainly. The websites do also pull in traffic from other words but my main focus is the rank on the keyword I have optimised them for.

A lot of the websites are my own and I monetize them from affiliate marketing and adsense. A small amount of the websites offer services where I take bookings and my main call to action is for them to fill out a form.

Site 1 - Registered Nov 09 - Used to be somewhere on page 4 but after different promotion methods it came to Page 1 at the bottom. It has now disappeared maybe sandboxed as it is quite new but I am expecting this to come back strong.

Site 2 - Registered Nov 09 - This has been on page 6 but has moved up a couple of places. The website still gets traffic from other keywords and it is product based.

Site 3 - Registered Nov 09 - Aimed at users in the UK it was on Page 2 straight off the bat but it disappeared for a bit and has now come back to Page 2 but at around #14

Site 4 - Registered Nov 09 - This was on Page 2 for ages. It then disappeared for a bit. I was promoting it straight away. At the start of january I started promoting it using my regular methods and now it is come strong at #4. It's just below Amazon and has beaten a couple of PR 3 websites.

Site 5 - This site is now on Page 1. It started off on Page 8 but after promoting it last month it has come strong and I hope this to bring in a lot of sales from the UK and US. I also have the same website but on a UK domain name but this has fallen back a little and is on Page 3.

Site 6 - This is on Page 1 at #8 This was on Page 1 as soon as it got indexed but there are not much competition and the products do not cost that much.

Site 7 - This is my favourite site. I promoted this heavily using articles as I could write them easily and I enjoyed them. This word gets around 18,000 searches a month.

Site 8 - Registered Dec 09 - Near bottom of Page 1
Site 9 - Registered Dec 09 - Near bottom of Page 1
Site 10 - Registered Dec 09 - Near bottom of Page 1

I have another 10 sites which have been made at the end of December 09. I have yet to work on 6 websites.

I am also working on a site to promote tickets to a seminar and this is a competitive area. The website is now a PR 4 and has help from popular websites and news sites. I am working on building backlinks for specific words but an Adwords campaign will be commencing soon.

The Adwords CPC is around £ to £3 and maybe more for some of the top keywords. I am working on a method to keep the CPC low.

I will update the forum on the results.

Great ..Id like to see a little monthly GRAPH of your search positions and details of what your doing that maybe effecting any movements

Yh that would be good for me aswell. I don't really focus on my rankings now. I do my promotion methods and move onto the next.

I have a couple of things I do to each site.

Step 1 - Make the site
Step 2 - Add content
Step 3 - Add products from amazon or videos from youtube
Step 4 - Social Bookmark
Step 5 - Submit to ezine articles
Step 6 - Submit unique article wizard submission
Step 7 - Submit RSS
Step 8 - Submit to web 2.0 sites like wordpress or gather
Step 9 - Submit to more article directories
Step 10 - Looking to do profile backlinks

Sites 1 to 1 have had steps 1,2,3,4,5 and 7. Sites 1 to 4 have had step 6 aswell.

Each to their own I suppose.

I am assuming the websites he has built are the one's in his blog.

I also assume the Uk business forum is part of his marketing strategy.

The websites aren't on my blog. I don't really want to put my websites out there. The point of this thread probably was to see where sites rank from some of the techniques I use. I'll get rid of the blog in my signature.

I don't want to promote my sites here. My websites are product based so no I have no need to promote them here when people go to them from search engines.

Hey DancingWithPoodles

One of my websites is briantracyseminar.co.uk

There isn't much competition and not many searches for the term brian tracy seminar. It is however one of my websites and if you notice it has the keyword in the domain.

This website is #4 at the moment for "brian tracy seminar"

I will update this thread with what I do to this and you can see the rankings.

How much success have you had with unique article wizard submissions? I looked into this last year, but it seems that your article just gets submitted to a network of blogs which have essentially the same spun content?

At this moment in time I can't really say I have had much success. I have submiteed uaw articles to sites 1 to 4 and I can see some backlinks. I have set it to 10 to 15 sites and directories. Not all of them are showing up as backlinks but I am looking for something that can drip backlinks.

I have found that submissions to ezine articles also give me backlinks that are taken up by other sites.

I will run a uaw articles on one of the domains and track the movement to see if it is working for me.

The thing about UAW is that your submitted article is bascially spun into several different versions and then posted on a collection of article directory sites.

Google doesnt like spun content (since it is essentially duplicate content ) and you will have limited success in getting the spun content indexed.

The sites in which UAW submit to are sites which are full of spun content from other UAW members, so these sites hold little authority in the eyes of the Google.

Don't get me wrong, some of the spun content will get indexed, but you will have a much better chance of getting your articles and links indexed if you used unique content and stayed away from UAW and concentrated on Ezine Articles and other authority sites like GoArticles and Article Alley. The only people who have good success with UAW are the people who own it.

I use 3 methods.

1. submit unique articles to 17 article sites, done by hand
2. Submit articles to a large number of article sites, semi automatically
3. Distribute articles to a large number of article sites fully automatically (not spam as they are opt in sites)

The 17 manual submissions are what drive the traffic and link juice, and these are the pages I promote to get extra weight to client sites., the rest will add a tiny amount if they get indexed, but more importantly they will mask the money links :)

I am submitting to a handful of article directories, UAW and also Web 2.0 properties so it is hard to see where the actual work helps to promote my sites. I agree that the sites from UAW don't have as much authority but I think with UAW it's a numbers game. For site 1 I have around 12 baclinks from UAW and 3 links from Ezine Articles.

I agree that google doesn't like spun content and they are catching on so I try to use different types of spinning. I spin sentences and I also spin words.

Once my sites reach Page 1 though I am happy and move onto the next. Using UAW also drips my backlinks.

From my results so far I cannot say that UAW works but I will try and do some testing against EZA.

Are the articles in steps 2. and 3. all unique or are they spun.

I think definitely unique versions of the articles is way to go but for me i am using some tools to help me out a bit.
