Website check

I have nor put a lot of effort into it
You weren't kidding, were you!

Until you can get something a bit more..... friendly looking, I would just have a single 'business card' page with your core details on it.

Ultimately, the design focus will depend on your target audience,.

It’s all about you. And I have no idea what that scorecard means. Cobal? Is that even a thing anymore?

Where are the case studies and evidence your consulting made a difference?

Where are the calls to action?

Why does it look pants on a phone?

And maybe it was just me but it took ages to load.

I have nor put a lot of effort into it so would appreciate suggestions
Do you think you have the design and technical skills to implement suggestions?

I'd suggest you pay for someone with the skills to build the site properly, if you want your website to appear professional to potential clients and capture leads.

I don't mind the layout. Clean and simple. Very reminiscent of gov.uk layout.

I have one observation for your cookie banner: add the "reject all" to the options as per this thread

Yeah I quite like it actually.

What I don't like is the picture of you - at least get a professional one where you're in a suit.

IMO a "good website" needs 2 important attributes for success (obviously in addition to having a good values/business proposition)

    1) Good copy,
    2) Good design.

Your website, with all due respect has neither.

Your website copy is only about yourself, when good website copy should be about the issues your ideal user faces and how you're able solve them.

Your website should also provide proof of your ability to deliver results by 1) demonstrating your expertise (such as work experience, certifications, or case studies) and 2) provide social proof (like reviews and testimonials).

Furthermore, your website must have clear messaging and clear calls to action or else all the time and effort you put into the website is wasted as the user closes the window never to return.

Finally, every piece of content on your website, from the website copy, to the branding assets to the design elements should work in cohesion to convey professionalism, trust and confidence, not sure having your grainy selfie is a way to achieve that.

I'm not the target audience, but instinctually I'd prefer to work with someone with a better aesthetic sense - perhaps irrelevant in this field, but it can so easily be faked using a template from one of the modern site building platforms. I put my site together using Squarespace - no web design experience needed and very low effort. Just the other day I had a cold-call email from a bespoke website maker asking if I needed a website built, I linked them to mine and they said it quote "looks great". (they happen to be local to Glasgow, can point you to them if you want).

It looks dated, the blue highlights to the left of the screen look like an error as if my cursor has highlighted the edge of a text field. The link menu (bullet points and numbers?) is an odd layout and overlaps with the logo graphic - get rid and just remodel the "menu" drop down at the top which is currently empty. The logo graphic itself has early-2000s vibes and the rest of the site looks similarly dated to my eye, default typeface on white background and such. Not that there's anything wrong with simplicity or a retro design, but it should be intentional. There's a bit of personality is from the photo, but a more professional snap would tell a better story.

I saw the picture and the odd menu layout (which looks like the page isn't loading correctly to me) and thought "yeah this doesn't look great". Then I saw

"ISENSE is an IT consultancy company "

And genuinely nearly spat my tea out of my gob! Yes I know IT from an infratructure or equipment perspective and web design are 2 very different things, but nevertheless I would expect someone in the IT world to have the industry contacts to come up with something better than this, not to mention the understanding of what a modern website should look like.

Genuinely this would do more harm than good. Agree with many comments said above. It doesn't sell you or your services at all, and doesn't tell anyone what you could do for them. The webcam face shot is just unnerving if nothing else.

There's nothing wrong with a webpage that's about "you" and your experience and expertise, rather than making out you are a big company, but this isn't the way to do it I'm afraid. It's a different expertise/area but an acquaintance of mine recently relaunched their site about "them" and their consultancy/exec services. See www.chrisswan.co.uk for some inspo.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but whilst it's visually pretty it's still impenetrable.

I've still got no idea what it is you do other than some vague suggestion that you suggest I use the wizzbang app or whatever.

What value does that big image on the right bring to the page? Why is the navigation hidden away? Why are there no calls to action? Why do you keep repeating things?

And why on earth aren't you using a CMS!

If you have all this expertise where is the blog with all the case studies? Where are all the testimonials? Where are all the wow! statements showing how you have reduced costs by £X million.

And it still looks pants on a phone...

Apologies for all the grumpy but it's still all about you and not about the needs of the potential customer.

Who exactly are you targeting? How are you planning to get them on the site?

The who and how will determine the content and structure of the site. Did you brief the designer on the who and how?

Rule 1: it's all about them. Whatever.medi7m you use, needs to dcream at first glance why YOU are the solving a problem or meeting a need.

Your reference are most big companies, which are unlikely to resonate with small business owners.

You flit between first and third person (as an entirely personal view, I think a one-man business referring to themselves in third person is deeply cringe)

    - what problem are you solving/need are you meeting?

    - why should I choose you over the others?

    - how do I contact you?

This is another example of a nice website let down by content.

When people brief a developer/designer, the last thing they generally think about are the words. When they do, they use words they want to rather than what their target audience wants!

Ask AI to write you a simple html landing page using CSS frameworks like bootstrap or tailwind.

in 2025, you no longer have the right to have such a plain website (no offense). You seem to provide important services, trust me, just paste ur HTML code into an AI terminal and ask for updated html and css.

I personally, use AI for everything frontend.
