VOIP System/Setup

I currently use voipfone for a local number and a 0800 number, both answered on my mobile using their app (not forwarded and using mins)

I'm looking to increase the number of lines I have (for different leads, from different websites). I need to be able to identify calls by which line they rang, and ideally see their call number at the same time too. Further down the line I'd like to start to forward most of the numbers on to an external party and record all calls.

I'm looking for recommendations for the best overall combination. Whilst I've been happy with voipfone so far, their phone app seems too basic to control all the things I'm looking for (or maybe I don't know how to use it properly?) they also have no inclusive mins on their 0800 number and call recording will also cost more when added.

I've obviously got to pay more for the the addition numbers I want to add and call recording etc, but I'm hoping their is some other sort of 'bundle' deal out their for recorded 0800 numbers and can be fully controlled via a mobile app.

Anyone got a similar set up and can recommend someone they're using?

This page:

seems to say that you can have both the number called (as a name) and the calling number displayed on an incoming call.

Suggest you give Voipfone support a call to confirm.

My knowledge of the gazillion possible configurations for this stuff is so out of date that I've been banned from giving advice on it. If you need an immediate answer you could email [email protected] and the duty guy will answer you pretty quickly, otherwise call us tomorrow.

On the 0800 thing, even though it's a loss of revenue to us, these days I'd suggest using an 03 or normal geographic number for campaigns. Most people now have calls to those numbers included in their calling plans so don't see it as a cost and some even think that 0800 is expensive!

Thanks, I'll look into 03 number and give them a call tomorrow.
