View laptop / pc screen on wall mounted tv

What do I need to view my PC / laptop screen on a large wall mounted tv ?

TVs are modern, plasma, 12 months old, loads of input connectors, one has a wireless dongle, the other I don't know but all are hardwired (Cat 5e) on a network with the PCs / laptops in question. Laptop obviously has bluetooth, tvs don't as far as I know.

I'm moving away from hugely powered desktops to a server setup but I'd like to use a laptop or just a wireless keyboard and mouse and view it all on the huge 50" and 60" tvs.

Sorry, I meant without cables, wi-fi I suspect or bluetooth ?

The CAT5e cable is most probably to allow you to add the TV to a network and access the internet for catch up tv etc.

If you want to do this without wires you may have to purchase some additional hardware.

Can you let me know the model numbers and I'll see what features the TV's have ?

Check out wireless HDMI, not used it myself but think it might be the job for you.

You would likely need to buy some kit though, i.e. sender and receiver attached to laptop and TV's respectively.

Thanks for the idea and concept. It could frustrate the portability of the laptop / keyboard but worth digging into.

I've multiple tvs on the network fine now but it is the ability to use the tv as a monitor I want.
