Very happy with HostingUK (.) Net

Just a quicky to say how happy I am with HostingUK (.) Net. I've recently transferred a couple of my domains over from IONOS and it was a happy experience. I had a couple of issues with changing nameserver details (my fault) but their tech support were brilliant.

I'd wanted to do it for a little while but, for some reason, expected my existing host to be against the idea. It was as simple as changing something called an IPS tag with them and then informing HostingUK.

The control panel is called Plesk and it's taken a while to get used to it but everything seems to be just fine.

I don't work for HostingUK, this is just my experience.

Good Luck with your new provider and keep learning :) , plesk is pretty simple to handle you, things get much easier when technical team is there to assist.
Have a great time!!

I’ve been with hostinguk.net for years. But have cPanel not plesk. Don’t even recall being offered a choice.

As a web agency we often get given hosting control panels to use to download and work on sites and Plesk is one of the worst. cPanel is much better, but the licences are expensive now.

If we can all join in I transferred my site to forum member Zigojacko's company Clubnet Digital a few years ago and I don't think that I have suffered one minute's downtime in all those years. He is also very helpful answering the stupid questions that I ask him and sorting out any problems of my making

I would rather be hauled over hot coals than have to use Cpanel again. Plesk is beautifully simply to work with (and around if needed)
I totally agree with you regarding cPanel.

While it's powerful and flexible, the won't-use-it decider for me was its handling of domains - whereby the default enables one domain to be accessible through an entirely unrelated one.
