Trying to remove a Local Guide photo from our Google listing

Hi there

We have a photo of our shop that appears on our Google listing in search results that was taken by a Local Guide 6 years ago and since then, the outside has been repainted and updated. The photo also shows advertising for products that we no longer stock.

I am unable to remove it because it is not mine and as far as I am aware you cannot contact a Local Guide directly to ask them to remove it.

I have reported the image to Google and contacted their customer support but they are very unhelpful.

I've even become a Local Guide and submitted my own image thinking the newer one would replace it but it is still there.

Has anyone else had a similar problem or have any ideas what else I could do.

It's amongst the others but it is always the one that shows up first. I've searched and viewed on a variety of devices and it always shows up.

Pretty much nothing you can do about this. Local guides are rarely local and only review to increase their standing so they can then sell their services. The whole local guide thing is flawed.

Even better when you investigate and discover the local guide lives in Vietnam and found the image somewhere.

I'm pretty sure I've done that and the logo but I'll try uploading again.

If you've done it successfully, the image may be pending while it's under review. Can take a little while.

I've uploaded a new image and it looks like its replaced it. The picture I used for the cover is still there so I'm not sure why the old one replaced it.
