Louis Vuitton is a fashion house, famous mainly for its monogrammed handbags and leather goods. It's a very famous label, but probably only to people who're interested in fashion

Its amazing how the list is dominated by US brands. The first British brand is HSBC at 29.

Reads like my client list.

US has a huge home market (250 mill population) and only 20% business needs to be overseas, therefore it is hard for a country with population just 56 mill to get up there.

I'm surprised that Virgin did not make the list. It's quite a well-known brand around the world.

I wonder how the publishers of the list came up with brand value.
