I'm trying to get one of those Krone-type punch-down boxes - you know the type where BT have all the cables punched in?

I have one on the wall in the office and I've wired my PBX into it. I need a new telephone line but I don't want to call BT out until I move my cables to a different box.

I can't seem to find anywhere online to buy them - a lot of people have siggested maplin but they don't do them either.

Anyone know what I am talking about or its proper name? Or better still where to buy one.

Thanks wilfred,

That's the insertion tool for punching in the wires. I got one of thise in the end from Screwfix. It's the box that this tool punched wires into that I need to get.

Try here:-

You'll have to register to purchase, but you can pay by credit card.

The tool you refer to is an IDC Insertion Tool, sometimes called a punchdown tool. Careful if you not used one before, as you can use it back to front and damage the connector. If I'm teaching my grandmother......ignore this!
