Hi

I have recently set up a Ltd Company, I will be away from home for appox 90 nights whilst working at outdoor events (i.e Latitude / Download festival) across the UK. During these events I will sleep in either my van or caravan. The 90 days include days where I would leave home before 6am or return after 9pm. Can I claim a set amount of £25 / day for subsistence on these days?

If so, my wife ( who already works full time for another company and is a higher rate tax payer) helps at the busier events, but in an unpaid capacity, can she claim £25/day from my company for her subsistence, or would I need to make her a director / co. sec / employee to do so?

These days are extremely long and tiring and food is often garbbed whilst on the hoof, from extremely busy food vendors, so collecting, keeping and documenting receipts would be hit and miss.

If this £25 / day is not acceptable, what would be a reasonable solution?

Finally, occassionally I will stay with friends/relatives, normally my friends host us for dinner for 1 night and the other we take them out for a curry, would it be acceptable to put the meal £100-120 through the company in leau of a subsistence allowance / hotel accomodation?

Thanks
