I'm thinking of start a blog about self improvement/positivity (in Mandarin) to create more positive influences to young people in China (based in the UK). At same time, I know for a fact that China is very strict about information and that include the online world.

I don't want to do anything that is illegal or get myself into trouble. Ideally I want to make money from it as well. Any tips or advice will be appreciated.

Its not even relevent to politics. I personally can't see any problem.

I would like to do a mandarin version of it. I know information is one area that china is not so advanced in. In the west, you can find information on almost anything. Personal development and positivity seem to be neglected. I want to provide information to young people who want to change their life for the better. Something positive and something motivational with intention of making money from it too if I can get enough traffic.

The problem is, I don't really know much about china. I know for a fact that its strict about public information.

Hi, I'm Cathy from South China, would like to say a few words;

If you are thinking about motivating young people on their personal growth, i don't think there is much to worry about.

As China now is much more open than what it was in the past, so are the young people.They would love to share ideas and experieces to know better of the world from different perspectives.

So just go ahead , invite them to your blog and improve it in the process.

Its not going to be anything relevent to politics or religion because they are too controversial and I don't want the trouble.

I want clarify something:

I want to make money from it as well and possibly sell some products such as e-books or other products.

OK,but your description is still a little vague.Can you give an example?

Sorry, I don't want to give my secrets away, haha

I think I need to start doing some research about blogging in China. Do you know anyone who's making a good living out of it in china?
