Site Design Change - Header A or B - You Choose?

I am thinking of making a change to the homepage of my website and would like feedback from you guys

1. What looks best?

2. What will sell our product best?


The change is to the header of the homepage, and the reason for the change is to show NEW visitors what we do as soon as they arrive to our site. I feel the first link below and the Current header does not really show or sell how we are different?

So I have created number 2, which could be the replacement. It does not look so pleasing to the eye and 'fit in with our site colours' buy it DOES show what we do.

As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words....

Seems as though people like the original plain red rose image.

Don't you think the new image with the personalised roses helps to sell what we do.

When you visit our site for the first time, is it clear what we do?

The single red rose I'm guessing is the image that isnt coming up on my screen at all.

Just so you know you may have got A & B the wrong way around. A is the one with the three personalised roses.

Awesome idea by the way. To be honest I think its 100% clear what you do but I reckon the three example roses could give people ideas as well. I reckon this will help because if people start to think "actually I could write this on my rose", you have their attention and they'll probably buy from you.

Could you not have one as a header and one a footer??? I know what you mean about it not being clear exactly what you do with the plain roses!

I am going to give the 3 roses with a message on a trial period and see if it helps increase conversions.

Initially I went for A, however, as I looked at B I was drawn to order a rose for my Mum.

That has to be the best Mothers Day present I have bought for the money!

Mark, they don't appear the same to me. And if they appeared the same then all the other posters couldn't have differentiated between the two. Maybe VS and Freecyber have optical issues.

They are different now, but the other day they were both showing the red rose header (yes I did refresh , and tried different browsers)

Now to answer the question....

I think a header in the style of "a" would be best, showing the printed text. However I don't think that the picture is that good and am sure you could get some better ones take to produce a better header.

Just what i was thinking. A with better pictures and its spot on
