Hi all,

I've just bought a shop with no point of sale software - just operates an old cash register and a chip & pin machine.

I want to introduce POS software to deal with sales, stock, discounts, etc - as 'complete' a package as possible/necessary for a small, low volume specialist shop. It should be compatible with Sage 50 (probably) for accounting and reporting.

I know Sage does SagePay and 50 - is this a good combination?

I'd like the flexbility to tie-in with an ecommerce app - haven't finalised this yet, but will probably be Opencart.

I think we'll be using Worldpay merchant account (in place at the moment), but again we're flexible.

I see some suppliers are offering 'complete' packages - POS, Sage, ecommerce, eBay, Google sales etc. - anyone experience these?

Thanks in advance for (hopefully simple!) responses!

Afternoon

Have a look at these guys: http://www.lois-systems.co.uk/ and ask for Steve Waller, the MD.

They have a great all-in-one ePOS solution that does everything you mention: Stock Control, Accounts, CRM, Customer Loyalty / Gift Cards & E-Commerce.

The product is simple and inituite to use, real-time data across all sales channels and was originally built for a bespoke retailer.

Good luck in your search.

If you want a cheap but effective epos system try www.datatoday.co.uk. Does everything most of us need, although it is based on the old foxpro database system. Don't think it handles sage although I am sure that you can produce all the reports you want

Our software is a modular solution, covering everything you ask for and more.
To start with you could run it on an existing pc and expand later if necessary. The basic software costs £475.
Please pm me if you want further information and I can then send you datasheets, along with a full price list.

Hi Diggerboy,

If you have not chosen anyone just yet have a look at Nisyst. A simple Google should bring the site up.

I've had experience with these guys. The system was good and links with a website. I never used the website link but they did a good job for me (a couple years back).

Def links with Sage... saved me hours of time.

EPoS is a mine field... i saw about 10 different companies. Majority all did the same thing but Nisyst just had a few features that made my life a lot easier.

Our system does everthing you have listed (and a fair bit more).

Please get in touch to give me some more information, and I will be able to produce a precise quote for you.

I would advise you to ensure you can accept NFC payments for mobile wallets. Google just released a prediction that soon 1/3 of all payments will be mobile payments. This will make you a desirable location for those tech savvy consumers.
