Single phone line answer software?

Hi all,

I’m wanting (if it exists) some software that can answer phone calls - and we can set up a “if you want this, press 1” type system. Leading to a “your message will be recorded” - then let the customer leave a message.

It would just be for one telephone line.

It’s so we can call our customers back - and keep records.

Then if it could let us phone back - and record the conversation.

Does anything like this exist? Just a small 1 or 2 call a day business like mine?

It certainly exists. You could knock this up on an old pc, that old laptop with dead screen or a raspberry Pi or something using Asterisk and a £30 grandstream SIP phone.

I think that pretty much is the functionality of the demo config too.

If you don't fancy a hobby project then you could have it provided as a service from most voip phone providers I should think.

Most VoIP providers can do that for a few pounds a month. I recommend Voipfone.

Just make sure you choose something with a good recorded message!

I rang my pos company and they use this text to speech thing and I just burst out laughing it was so bad haha.

As people have said, nearly every VOIP provider could do this: can recommend VoipStudio and Kasookoo.

Also, spending some money to get a bespoke message is a nice touch, we use VoiceBunny for our own and client systems.
